Due to improvements in single-stream recycling and the recent completion of the nation’s largest recycling center by Republic Services, community recycling levels have increased. Amendments to the City and County franchise agreements will deploy the single-stream system to the remaining single family residential households across Southern Nevada over the next few years, which should yield greater waste diversion.
